SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 7/29/2017 at approximately 1906 hours, State Police responded to an ATV crash on Irish Hill Road in the town of Lowell, VT. Preliminary investigation revealed Nicholas Miller was operating the ATV at a high rate of speed on Irish Hill Road, causing the ATV to leave the asphalt portion of the roadway. The ATV traveled in the grassy shoulder for approximately 50 yards before striking several trees down an embankment. Miller was not wearing a seat belt nor a helmet and was ejected from the ATV. Missisquoi Ambulance service responded to the scene and pronounced Miller deceased. The sole passenger in the ATV was wearing a seat belt and was transported to North County Hospital with minor injuries. The investigation is on-going however alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors.
