SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 6/25/2017 at approximately 0027 hours, Vermont State Police observed a vehicle traveling 96 mph in the 55 mph safety corridor zone, by the Winooski River Bridge.  

The operator was identified as Erik Bemis, age 20, of Colchester.   Bemis became disorderly and resisted arrest while being taken into custody.  

Bemis was processed at the State Police Barracks in Williston.  He is scheduled to appear in Chittenden Superior Court on August 8, 2017.
