SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On June 10th 2017 at approximately 0355 hours Vermont State Police received multiple 911 calls of a vehicle traveling north in the south bound lane.  The vehicle was near Exit 10 in Waterbury when Troopers from the Williston Barracks as well as officers from Williston Police Department attempted to intercept the vehicle.  Callers to 911 advised they needed to take evasive actions to avoid colliding with the oncoming vehicle.  Troopers were able to get the vehicle stopped near mile marker 74 in the Town of Richmond.  After the operator, identified as Julie Bordeaux of Duxbury, was taken into custody and  placed in the back seat of a police vehicle to be transported she began striking her face against the vehicle partition causing several lacerations.  While Troopers attempted to stop Bordeaux from harming herself she spat blood on them.

Upon returning to the Williston State Police Barracks, Bordeaux continued to smear her blood throughout the holding cell.  She was evaluated by Williston Fire and Rescue and transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center to have the lacerations treated.

Bordeaux was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Center for charges of DUI #2, Gross Negligent Operation, Assault on Law Enforcement Officer X3, Disorderly Conduct, and Unlawful Mischief.  The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
