SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 6/24/17 at 0258 hours Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks were dispatched to an alarm activation at the Center Tower Convenience store in St. Johnsbury Center. Upon arrival Troopers observed the glass door to be smashed in and there were pieces of tail light on the ground near the broken glass from the door. Troopers cleared the convenience store finding no one inside, it appeared that  cigarettes were taken and the register drawers were pried open. While on scene a vehicle with damage consistent with backing into a building drove by heading north on Route 5. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 5 but the vehicle accelerated and turned onto Mt. Pisgah Road in St. Johnsbury and circled back to Breezy Hill Road in St. Johnsbury where the vehicle reached speeds of 100 mph. The vehicle struck a deer on Breezy Hill Road and continued on for another half mile before Bristol(19) lost control of the vehicle and got stuck in a ditch. Both Bristol and a female passenger later identified as Concannon attempted to run from the vehicle, after a short foot pursuit both suspects were apprehended and found to be in possession of stolen property from the aforementioned burglaries. Further investigation revealed that Bristol and Concannon also broke into Northern Auto in St. Johnsbury Village earlier in the night where it appears they stole vehicle inspection stickers and  the vehicle they were driving. Bristol was lodged at NERCF for lack of $15,000 bail and Concannon was also lodged at NERCF for lack of $1,500 bail.
