SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On June 5, 2017 Troopers from the St. Albans barracks were notified of a single vehicle crash on Troy St in the Town of Richford, VT. OnStar notified VSP and advised the vehicle had struck a fire hydrant and there were possible injures.

When Trp. Mattuchio arrived on scene, the fire hydrant was still intact with minor damage. The White Chevy Cruz had minimal front passenger side damage. The operator, Elie LaRoche (72) and wife Sheila (70) were transported to NorthWest Medical Center. LaRoche told the Trooper that he didn't remember the crash and family believed it may of been a medical incident.

Cota's of Swanton, Vt removed the vehicle and not VCVC's were issues. Speed and alcohol were not a factor in this crash.
