SUMMARY OF CRASH:

The Vermont State Police in Shaftsbury received a report of a tractor trailer (TT) truck and trailer that became stuck and was blocking both lanes of travel

on US RT 7 in Pownal.  Investigation determined the operator Lawrence B. Ham had been traveling north on US RT 7 in Pownal and attempted to turn around in The Roost parking lot off of US RT 7.   As Ham turned around and entered the southbound lane of US RT 7 the passenger side of the TT truck became stuck in

the  grassy and muddy terrain off the west side of the roadway.  The trailer on the TT truck blocked both lanes of travel.  The Pownal Fire department assisted

with a temporary road closure so that Vehicle # 1 could be removed from the scene.  A’s Auto and Truck Repair out of Guilford, VT responded to the scene and

towed Vehicle # 1 back onto the roadway.  Vehicle # 1 was able to be driven from the scene.  Ham was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint.
