LOCATION: Route 66 at Admin Drive, Randolph Ctr.

INCIDENT:  Missing historical marker

 

VICTIM: Vermont Historical Society, Barre, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On May 26, 2017 the Vermont State Police, Royalton, were notified by an employee of the Vermont Historical Society that a bronze historical marker was missing from a site in Randolph Ctr.  The marker was last seen at the intersection of Rt. 66 and the entrance to the Vermont Technical College sometime around January 1 of this year.  By March it was apparent the marker was missing along with the post it was fastened to.  The Historical Society indicated the cost of these markers are $2,000.00.  If anyone has information regarding the marker, its current location or it’s disappearance, please contact the Vermont State Police at 802-234-9933.
