SUMMARY OF CRASH: On June 2, 2017, at approximately 1728 hours, State Police were notified of a two-car motor vehicle collision on VT Route 116 S near the intersection of River Road in the Town of Bristol. State Police arrived on scene and identified Operator#1 as Amanda Belcher. Belcher advised that prior to the collision she was travelling northbound at an unknown speed. As she approached the right curve near the intersection of River Road, Belcher stated that her vehicle began pulling towards the left. Belcher advised that she was unable to correct and subsequently collided with a vehicle travelling southbound.

State Police subsequently identified Operator#2 as Eric Friend. Friend advised that prior to the collision he was travelling southbound on VT Route 116 at approximately 40-45 mph. As he was approaching the intersection with River Road, Friend advised that a vehicle crossed into his lane of travel and struck him. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the collision. Belcher sustained minor injuries. Alcohol nor drugs played a factor in the collision.
