SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 06-29-17 at approximately 1843 hours, E911 was alerted to a report of a house explosion at a residence located at 486 Upper Plain road in Bradford.  Multiple VSP Troopers, the Bradford Police Chief, Bradford fire department along with many other assisting mutual aid fire departments and rescue responded to the location.  Upon arrival they discovered the residential home at this address had some type of explosion that resulted in heavy damage to the structure. 

 

Police were able to ascertain that the homeowner was out of town and made contact with her.  They were advised that nobody was home at the time. 

 

An investigation team comprised of members of the Division of Fire Safety, VSP Fire Investigation Unit and the VSP bomb squad will start investigating the scene in the daylight hours of 06/30/17 after the remnants of the home are checked for stability and safety.
