SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 06/02/17 at approximately 2324 hours, Vermont State
Police were dispatched to the area of 199 Sunset Hills, Pownal, for a single
vehicle crash. Troopers arrived on scene and located the operator, Nolin
Danforth DOB 01/25/98, on scene, being assessed by Pownal Rescue Squad
personnel.

During the course of investigation, Troopers suspected Danforth of being under
the influence of intoxicants. Danforth was asked to perform Field Sobriety
Exercises, during which he showed several clues of impairment. Danforth was
subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the
Vermont State Police Barracks in Shaftsbury for further testing. Danforth was
later released with a citation to appear in Bennington County Superior Court,
Criminal Division, to answer to the charge of DUI.

The vehicle was found to have minor damage as a result of the crash. Pownal Fire
and Pownal Rescue both assisted at the scene as well.
