SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 06/19/2017 at approximately 1941 hours the State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 silver Honda Civic on VT Route 100 in the town of Troy. It was determined that the operator, Michael Amatruda, was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license and the vehicle was not registered. Further investigation lead to a search of the vehicle, which Amatruda freely consented to, and a narcotic was found in the vehicle which was not prescribed to Amatruda. Amatruda was arrested and taken to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks where he was processed and released on citation to appear in Orleans County Court.
