SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On May 31, 2017, at approximately 2242 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were notified of a single-vehicle crash in the area of Cold River Road, at the intersection of Hubbard Lane PL in the Town of Rutland, Vermont.

Initial investigation revealed that vehicle #1 was traveling southbound on Cold River road. Operator #1, who was identified as Brea D. Tuttle, of Rutland, advised she divided her attention from the road. Vehicle #1 then deviated from the traveled portion of the roadway, where it traveled down a ditch and crashed into a tree on the west side of Cold River Road. Operator #1 (Tuttle) was transported by ambulance to Rutland Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation. Further investigation revealed Tuttle’s privilege to operate a motor vehicle was suspended criminally. Tuttle was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on June 26th, 2017 at 0830 hours.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by Rutland Town Fire Department, Regional Ambulance Service.
