SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 05/10/17 at approximately 10:36 pm, while on patrol, a member of the Vermont State Police observed a motor vehicle violation, and subsequently stopped that vehicle in the area of VT Route 30 and Grimes Hill Road in the town of Newfane. Investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle was Nathan Petrie, age 21, of West Wardsboro, VT. It was suspected that Petrie was operating while under the influence of alcohol. Petrie was administered the Standard Field Sobriety Exercise, and was subsequently arrested for DUI. Petrie was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing and released with a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charge.
