SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 05/03/2017, at approximately 9:29 pm, the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks received a report of a wrong way vehicle, traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-91 in the Town of Vernon, entering into Massachusetts. The wrong way vehicle was described as a silver Honda with a cracked right front headlight and a female operator. Massachusetts State Police later advised how another motorist had gotten the wrong way vehicle stopped, turned around and now the vehicle was traveling north on I-91. The operator of the Nissan was identified as Jessenia Cortes, of Fitchburg, MA. Cortes showed signs of impairment and was subsequently taken into custody and processed for DUI at the Westminster Barracks.
