SUMMARY OF CRASH: On May 3, 2017, at approximately 3:45 P.M. Troopers with the Vermont State Police, Westminster Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 91 northbound, in the area of mile marker 21. Upon arrival, Troopers spoke with the operator of the vehicle, David Hill, 36, of Bellows Falls,  Vermont. Hill reported that as he drove northbound on the Interstate, a crosswind pushed him into the northbound breakdown lane and eventually onto the shoulder of the Interstate. Hill was unable to regain control of the vehicle once on the shoulder. Hill struck several posts and some fencing along the side of the Interstate. Hill received minor injuries and refused medical treatment upon being assessed by members of the Putney Fire Department who responded to the scene.
