SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 05/03/17, the Vermont State Police responded to a car versus tractor trailer crash on Interstate 91 South in Newbury. Members of the Wells River Fire Department and Woodsville Ambulance responded as well.

 

Lynn Ruggles was traveling south when her vehicle struck the rear end of the tractor trailer operated by Stephane Trottier. After the collision, Ruggles vehicle rolled over and came to rest in the median. Stephane Trottier was able to pull the tractor trailer over into the breakdown lane.

 

Lynn Ruggles was transported to Cottage Hospital for evaluation. Her vehicle sustained extensive damage and was considered totaled. Stephane Trottier was not injured in the crash. The rear axle and bumper guard on the trailer were damaged.

 

Investigation into the crash is ongoing.
