INCIDENT LOCATION: I-91 North, Thetford

VIOLATION: DUI, Gross Negligent Operation, Reckless Endangerment

 

ACCUSED: Sean Columbia                                               

AGE: 24

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Lebanon, NH

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Sean Columbia was stopped by State Police on I-91 north in Fairlee after he was observed traveling at an extremely high rate of speed in Thetford.  Troopers caught up to his vehicle, and captured it on radar traveling 114 miles per hour in the posted 65 mile per hour zone.

  Once stopped, Troopers determined Columbia was also operating under the influence. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI, gross negligent operation of a vehicle, and reckless endangerment. He was processed at the Bradford Outpost where he was later released on a citation to appear in Orange County Court on 06/14/2017 to answer the charges of DUI Refusal (#2), Gross Negligent Operation, and Reckless Endangerment. Columbia was issued traffic tickets for interstate speed and possession of an open alcohol container.
