SUMMARY OF CRASH:  Troopers with the St. Albans Barracks were alerted by Dispatch of a two motor vehicle crash at the intersection of VT RT 104 and Conger Rd. Reports indicated that one of the vehicles had fled the scene.  En route to the scene, troopers found a white Dodge Dakota (Vehicle 1) with significant damage to the front passenger’s side of the vehicle located approximately 800 feet up the road from the crash scene. 27 year old Heidi Elliott (operator 1) was sitting in the driver’s seat. Also at that location was a tow truck with a black Chevrolet Traverse (Vehicle 2).  The Fairfax Fire Department arrived within minutes and determined there were no hazards. Shortly after that, 34 year old Jennifer Millington (operator 2) arrived as well.  After speaking with both drivers and assessing the scene, it was determined that Millington was waiting to turn left onto Conger Rd from VT RT 104, when Elliott approached the intersection, she saw Millington’s vehicle and tried to swerve around it to avoid impact. Elliot’s car struck Millington’s, and Elliot continued to travel down the road around the corner. It was determined that Elliot did not flee the scene of an accident, although she did not have insurance for the vehicle.
