CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Colchester, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On May 21st, 2017 at approximately 1500 hour Vermont State Police St. Albans patrolled I-89 Northbound in the area of Swanton as part of a detail focused on distracted and aggressive driving enforcement.

 

Troopers affected a traffic stop in the area of mile marker 122 northbound subsequent to a moving violation. The operator was identified as Tyler Mansfield (age 33) of Colchester, VT.

 

Further investigation revealed that Mansfield had an active warrant for his arrest out of St. Albans. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Northwestern State Correctional Facility where he was lodged for lack of $300.00 cash bail.
