SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On May 2, 2017 at approximately 0750 hours, a Trooper from the Vermont State Police –Rutland Barracks was approached by a concerned citizen who reported a female sleeping in a vehicle.  The citizen advised the female was sleeping in a vehicle parked at the Shaw’s Supermarket in the Village of Poultney, and she had been there for over an hour.

 

The Trooper responded to investigate and found Samantha J. Foley, 28, of Middletown Springs, VT, asleep in the operators’ seat.

 

Further investigation revealed Foley had driven the vehicle to the parking lot, and her privilege to operate a vehicle was criminally suspended. Foley was issued citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on June 12, 2017 at 0830 hours.
