SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On May 17, 2017, at approximately 1233 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were notified of a two-vehicle crash in the area of 3514 US Route 7, in the Town of Pittsford, Vermont.

Initial investigation revealed that vehicle #2 was traveling northbound on US Route 7. Vehicle #2 was stopped while waiting for another vehicle to turn left onto Mechanic Street. Vehicle #1 was traveling northbound on US Route 7 and was unable to brake in time to avoid vehicle #2. Vehicle #1 rear ended vehicle #2 at a low rate of speed.

Operator #2 (Adams) was transported by ambulance to Rutland Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by the Pittsford Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.
