SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On May 10, 2017, at approximately 0906 hours, State Police responded to a report of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident in the area of 450 Scottsville Road, in the Town of Danby, Vermont. Initial investigation revealed that Operator #2 (Morris) was traveling southbound on Scottsville Road while vehicle #1 was traveling northbound. Operator #2 (Morris) advised vehicle #1 was significantly over the centerline of the roadway. Operator #2 (Morris) advised she had to drive off the roadway to avoid being hit by vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 struck a tree with the right-side mirror which shattered the passenger side window. The crash remains under investigation.
