SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On May 6, 2017, at approximately 1426 hours, Troopers at the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were notified of a two-vehicle crash on US Route 4, near the Killington Deli, in the Town of Killington, Vermont.

Initial investigation revealed that vehicle #1 and vehicle #2 were both traveling westbound on US Route 4 from VT Route 100. Operator #2 (Baptie) transitioned from the right lane to the left lane to pass vehicle #1. As vehicle #2 was passing vehicle #1, Operator #1 (Pepin) attempted to turn left into the Killington Deli from the right lane. Vehicle #1 struck vehicle #2 in the passenger side along the rear passenger door.

Operator #2 (Baptie) was transported by ambulance to the Rutland Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by Killington Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.
