SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On May 9, 2017 at approximately 2147 hours, troopers with the Vermont State Police –Rutland Barracks were advised of a vehicle that was stuck in a ditch on Eastham Road in the Town of Shrewsbury. The operator was identified as Charles E. Powell, age 61, of Shrewsbury. During the course of the investigation, Powell displayed several signs of impairment. Powell was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence, and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town. He was processed and released on a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on May 30th, 2017 at 1230 hours.
