SUMMARY OF CRASH:
Vermont State Police were called to investigate a three vehicle collision on VT Rte 2a in the town of Williston, VT.

Upon arriving on scene, it was determined that all three vehicles were traveling NB on Rte 2a prior to the crash.  Veh#3 reportedly signaled, slowed and stopped to await SB traffic to pass before making a left turn onto Country Lane. This action caused Veh#2 to come to a complete stop as well.  Veh#1 approached from the south and failed to recognize Veh#2 and #3 had stopped in the roadway and collided into the back of Veh#2.  Veh#2 then surged forward and collided with Veh#3.

All of the operators were evaluated at the scene and released without injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation but is believed to be inattention to the roadway ahead. Vermont Civil Violation Complaints are pending the outcome of the investigation.

Route 2a was reduced to one lane while the incident was being investigated/cleared.  Due to the time of night and traffic volume, no significant delays were observed.
