OPIATE PUBLIC FORUM – SPRINGFIELD, VERMONT

Waterbury VT / May 26, 2017 - Members of public safety, including the Springfield Police Department, Vermont State Police and the Vermont Intelligence Center, will hold a public forum to discuss the ongoing opioid crisis in Windsor County, Tuesday, May 30th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the Riverside Middle School in Springfield, VT.  We invite all interested and concerned citizens to attend, join the conversation, and learn how we can confront this issue together.

The forum will offer attendees the opportunity to hear from Chief Douglas Johnston of the Springfield Police Department, Commissioner Thomas Anderson of the Vermont Department of Public Safety, and representatives of the Vermont Intelligence Center.  A  PowerPoint presentation will provide an overview of the crisis in Vermont, how it impacts our communities, and what Vermont law enforcement is doing to address the crisis.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the public safety officials in a panel forum. 

Join us Tuesday, May 30th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at the Riverside Middle School, 13 Fairground Rd, in Springfield, VT.  The forum will be held in the school auditorium.
