SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

Troopers observed a motor vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed, Troopers

attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop and engaged in a high speed pursuit.

After chasing the motor vehicle for several miles the motor vehicle was

traveling too fast for conditions, left the roadway and overturned. During the

encounter it was also discovered that Francis was in possession of stolen

property. It was determined that Francis had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant

out of Chittenden County. Francis was transported to Porter Hospital for

evaluation.

 

Vermont State Police was assisted by Vergennes Police Department, Middlebury

Rescue, and Vergennes Fire Department during this incident.

 

 

 

Vermont Civil Violation Complaint Pending further investigation.

LODGED - LOCATION: Lodged on outstanding warrant at Chittenden County

Correctional Center

COURT ACTION: Y Criminal DLS, Excessive Speed, Grossly Negligent Operation of a

Motor Vehicle, Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, and Possession of Stolen

Property. Other charges may be forthcoming as this investigation is ongoing.
