New Haven Barrack / Possession of Heroin

INCIDENT LOCATION: Mountain Road near Snake Mt. Trail Head

VIOLATION: Possession of Heroin

 

ACCUSED: Japheth Kehoe                                              

AGE: 33

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bridport VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  On 05/03/17 at approximately 2120 hours Vermont State Police - New Haven received a call from Middlebury Rescue requesting assistance with an unresponsive male, identified as Japheth Kehoe, who was located unresponsive in his parked vehicle near the Snake Mountain Trail head, on Mountain Road in the Town of Addison. 

 

Upon arrival of State Police, Middlebury rescue was already on scene and advised the male was now awake and alert after they had administered Narcan to Kehoe. 

 

Further investigation revealed Kehoe had used heroin on this date and upon Kehoe granting consent to search his vehicle, more heroin was located.

 

Kehoe was cleared on scene by medical staff and subsequently arrested for the offense of Possession of Heroin and transported to the New Haven State Police Barracks for processing. 

 

Kehoe was later released on a citation for the above offense.  Kehoe was also issued Vermont Civil Violations (tickets) for Driving with a suspended VT license, plates not assigned to the vehicle, no insurance, and an inspection sticker not assigned to the vehicle as well as it being expired.
