SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 05/02/2017 at 1846 hours, the State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Jeep Patriot speeding on US Route 5 in the town of Derby. While speaking with the operator, Charles Randall, a strong odor of intoxicants was detected coming from Randall’s person. Randall willingly completed the Standardized Field Sobriety Exercises and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Randall was transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks where he was processed, fingerprinted, and photographed. Randall was released on citation to appear at the Orleans County Court.
