SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 04/10/2017 at approximately 12:44 pm, members of the Vermont State Police, along with the Wardsboro volunteer fire department and an ambulance from Rescue Inc. responded to a reported single rollover vehicle crash on VT RT 100 in Wardsboro.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being operated, Ms. Laurie Gallagher, 46 of Wardsboro, was headed northbound on VT RT 100 when her Ford F-150 left the paved roadway and struck a tree, head-on.  Ms. Gallagher sustained minor injury and was transported to Grace Cottage Hospital by ambulance. Ms Gallagher was found to have consumed alcohol and was subsequently administered field sobriety exercises.  Ms Gallagher was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and processed at the Vermont State Police barracks in Westminster.  Ms Gallagher was released on a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division for arraignment on April 25, 2017 at 8:00 am.
