SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 4/15/2017, at approximately 0159 hours, while on patrol in the town of Glover, I observed a vehicle to be traveling in excess of the posted speed limit as well as cross both the center lines and the white shoulder line. I activated my by emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. The operator verbally identified himself as William Anderson of Greensboro Bent, VT. While speaking with Anderson I saw an open empty twisted tea container in the center console and I detected the odor of intoxicants. Anderson performed field sobriety exercises and provided a preliminary breath test (PBT) with a result of .089%. Anderson was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Derby State Police Barracks where he was processed for the above offense.
