SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: 

Vermont State Police troopers responded to Rockingham to investigate the reported sighting of a missing 14-year-old juvenile from Hinsdale, NH.  The juvenile was located in the vicinity of Alden Rd.  It was quickly learned the juvenile had been brought to Vermont from New Hampshire by Kurt Carpentino.

Carpentino was located driving in Springfield by Springfield Police Department officers.

Investigation by troopers and detectives revealed Carpentino brought the juvenile across state lines to Vermont, without the knowledge of or permission from the juvenile’s family, where he and the juvenile had sex.

Carpentino was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield.  He is due in court tomorrow, April 27.

Carpentino has a criminal record in Vermont and New Hampshire.
