PRESS RELEASE

DUI CHECKPOINTS

April 14, 2017

Contact: Sgt. Cory Lozier at (802) 524-5993

Within the next two weeks, the Vermont State Police – St. Albans barracks, will be conducting sobriety checkpoints within Franklin and/or Grand Isle county.  Our goal is to detect and remove impaired drivers from our roadways to ensure safe travels.

Impaired driving and lack of seat belt use continue to be major contributing factors in deaths on our roadways. Troopers will also be working collaboratively with other state, county and local law enforcement agencies during this period.
