SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On April 13, 2017, at approximately 7:25 A.M. Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to a three vehicle traffic crash located on Clarendon Avenue, located in West Rutland.

Through investigation it was learned the 2016 Chevrolet had been traveling north on Clarendon Avenue and stopped to allow a vehicle to pull out of a private driveway.  The 2006 GMC was following and stopped behind the Chevrolet.  The Jeep Compass traveling north on Clarendon Avenue struck the rear of the GMC while it was stopped.  As a result, the GMC was pushed forward and struck the rear portion of the Chevrolet.

The operator of the 2016 Chevrolet was transported by ambulance to the Rutland Regional Medical Center for a medical evaluation.

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Rutland Town Police Department, West Rutland Volunteer Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.
