VIOLATION: Domestic Assault/ Interference with Access to Emergency Service

 

ACCUSED:  Marcus Herring

               AGE: 26

               CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Chittenden, Vermont

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On April 24, 2017, at approximately 0340 hours, members of the Vermont State Police assigned to the Rutland Barracks, were notified of a suspicious circumstance complaint on Chittenden Road, Chittenden, Vermont. The complainant advised Troopers a female forcibly knocked on the door of their residence, and left abruptly once a male approached her. It was learned the complainant’s residence had a security camera installed and successfully recorded an assault which took place as the male and female left the residence. Further investigation lead Troopers to Marcus Herring. Herring was subsequently taken into custody for Domestic Assault and Interference with Access to Emergency Service. Herring was subsequently arrested abd lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center for lack of $10,000.00 cash or surety bond.
