VSP Williston Troopers responded to a three-vehicle collision on I-89 in the area of MM 89, South Burlington.

Upon arriving, it was determined that Veh#1 was traveling southbound when its front driver's side tire came off.  The tire crossed the center median and entered the northbound lanes of travel, striking Veh#2 in the front driver's side tire/wheel.  Veh#1's tire then struck Veh#3 causing damage to the front passenger's side bumper/quarter panel.

All three vehicles were able to come to a controlled stop after the collision and no injuries were reported.  The cause Veh#1's wheel failure is still under investigation.

Due to the time of day, traffic delays were experienced in the area.
