ACCUSED: Amanda Stuart                                                                                            

AGE: 25

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Johnson, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On April 6, 2017 at approximately 1700 hours Vermont State Troopers observed a vehicle stopped on the side of I-89 near the rest area in Williston. After making contact with the vehicle, Troopers discovered the operator, 25-year-old Amanda Stuart of Johnson, had a criminally suspended driver’s license and was also in violation of her conditions of release. While speaking with Troopers Stuart displayed signs of impairment. After performing field sobriety exercises she was found to be under the influence of drugs.

 

Stuart was taken into custody and transported to the Williston State Police Barracks; she was cited to appear in Chittenden County Court at a later date to answer to the charge of DUI-Drugs. Stuart was lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility and is due in court 4/7/17 to answer to the charges of Violation of Conditions of Release and Driving while Suspended.
