Updated Middlesex Barracks / Armed Robbery

Updated information:

Vermont State Police continue to investigate the armed robbery in the Town of Marshfield.  Investigation showed that a lone male entered the Maplefields convenience store and demanded cash from the store clerk at approximately 11:20 pm. Video surveillance captured photos of the male entering the store. Photos of the individual are attached. Any persons with any information regarding the robbery or anyone who recognizes the male is asked to call the Middlesex State Police barracks at 802-229-9191.

INCIDENT LOCATION: Maplefield's, US Route 2, Marshfield
VIOLATION: Armed Robbery

On April 20, 2017, Vermont State Police - Middlesex responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Maplefields Store located on US Route 2 in Marshfield. At approximately 2320 hours, a masked male entered the store pointing a handgun at the clerk demanding money. The suspect is described as being a white male, approximately 6'0", average build, wearing a dark colored shirt, gray pants, black shoes, and black ski mask, carrying a black backpack.

The suspect stole cash from a register and left the store on foot. No one was injured in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Vermont State Police - Middlesex or submit tips anonymously online at or  text "CRIMES" (274637) to Keyword: VTIPS.
