CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Richford, VT
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On April 4, 2017 at approximately 1850 hours Vermont State Troopers responded to 104 River Street in an attempt to locate William Bean (age 34) as part of the statewide warrant sweep. Bean had an active warrant for his arrest for Simple Assault and Unlawful Trespass.
While on scene and speaking with residents of the address Troopers observed a male matching Bean's description attempting to sneak out a back door of the residence. Bean initially refused to comply with Troopers' orders but was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
Bean was transported to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing. At the conclusion of processing Bean was lodged at Northwest State Correctional Facility on the unrelated warrant. He is due to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on May 2, 2017 at 1300 hours to answer the new charge of Resisting Arrest.
