SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 03/20/17 at approximately 0732 hrs. the Vermont State Police, Rockingham Fire Department, and Golden Cross Ambulance were dispatched to a reported car versus school bus crash on Missing Link Road just north of Route 103 in the town of Rockingham. Investigation revealed that vehicle #2, a WNESU full-size school bus had just picked up a student and was in the process of pulling back into Missing Link Road from a driveway when vehicle #1, which was traveling south on Missing Link Road, drove into the right side of vehicle #2. The front of vehicle #1 struck the right rear fender and right rear wheel of vehicle #2, causing moderate front end damage to vehicle #1. Vehicle #2 sustained some minor contact damage to its right rear fender and the right side of the rear axle was pushed forward as a result of the collision with vehicle #1. Operator#1 advised that she was blinded by the morning sun and did not see the school bus pulling into the road in front of her. Operator #1 suffered lacerations and contusions as a result of the crash and was transported to the Springfield Hospital by Golden Cross Ambulance for treatment. Neither operator #2 nor the two juvenile students who were on the bus at the time of the crash were injured. WNESU sent another bus to pick up the students and transport them from the scene. Operator#1 was found to be at fault for the crash.  No tickets were issued. J&M Towing removed vehicle#1 from the scene, and Hillside Towing removed vehicle#2 from the scene.
