SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 03/26/2017, at approximately 6:56pm, a member of the Vermont State Police was patrolling Interstate 91, in the area of mile marker 12, in the town of Brattleboro. The trooper was travelling behind a vehicle when he noticed it was failing to stay within its lane, and was driving in excess of the speed limit while remaining in the passing lane. The trooper performed a motor-vehicle stop near mile marker 16.

            After speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, the trooper was granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search, the trooper discovered 190 bags of heroin.

            The following four individuals were arrested for trafficking, possession, and importation of heroin:

Aliya D. Mayo, 28, of Hartford, CT

Dahari K. Martin, 20, of Hartford, CT

Jaiquan S. Martin, 23, of Hartford, CT

Samuel Alicea, 18, of Hartford, CT

            These four individuals were transported to the Westminster Barracks where they were fingerprinted, photographed, and processed. They were then transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility where they are held on $5000 bail.
