SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On March 5, 2017 , at 1207 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a two vehicle crash in St. Johnsbury on Memorial Drive near the Weidmann facility.  Upon arrival both operators were present, vehicle one was off the east shoulder, while vehicle 2 was off of the west shoulder of Memorial Drive. Investigation revealed Vehicle 1, heading south on Memorial Drive, crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic and sideswiped vehicle 2. Degreenia failed to maintain his lane of travel. There were no minor injuries Vehicle 1 sustained major damage to the front driver side wheel, and driver side rear. Vehicle 2 sustained major damage to the entire driver’s side of the vehicle. Degreenia was ticketed for crossing the double yellow line, a violation Title 23 Vermont Statues Annotated 1038, Driving on roadways laned for traffic. Both operators were wearing seatbelts, and vehicle 2’s airbags were deployed.
