SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 03/26/2017, at approximately 1215 hours, Troopers from the St. Johnsbury

barracks located and stopped the accused for several motor vehicle violations

and after a concerned citizen reported that individuals were "shooting up" drugs

inside a vehicle, in the parking lot of his apartment building. While speaking

with the accused roadside, consent was requested by Troopers to search the

accused's vehicle. The accused granted consent and a subsequent search of the

vehicle revealed a felony amount of suspected heroin, along with a stolen check book from one of the victims.  

 

During an interview with the accused, he admitted to taking the check book and

cashing several stolen checks to obtain money for narcotic purchases and to pay

narcotic debts.

 

The accused was lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Facility (NERCF) for

lack of $7500.00 bail.
