St Johnsbury Barracks/ Motor vehicle incident with serious injury

INCIDENT LOCATION: Interstate 91, mile marker 96 southbound, Bradford, VT.

VIOLATION: N/A

 

Operator: Delynn Flanagan                                             

AGE: 53

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Enosburg Falls, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 03/27/17, at 0659 hours, the Vermont State Police received a report of a

female who jumped from a moving vehicle while traveling southbound on Interstate

91 near Bradford, VT.

 

According to witnesses, operator Delynn Flanagan of Enosburg Falls was traveling

at approximately 65 mph when she jumped from the vehicle she was operating and

onto the roadway. Flanagan's vehicle, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, continued a short distance without striking

any other motorists before traveling into a ditch on the right shoulder.

Flanagan was the only occupant of the vehicle. Flanagan sustained severe

injuries from the incident but is expected to survive. The investigation is

ongoing.
