SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On March 22nd 2017, at approximately 1145 hours, Troopers responded to Stamford

for a hit-and-run crash.  While responding Troopers learned one of the

operators, Samantha Goodreau, walked to a nearby home for assistance.  She

reported to the homeowner another vehicle pushed her off the road and left

the scene after she crashed.  A description of the other vehicle involved was

not provided. When police arrived on scene they observed a 2014 Hyundai Elantra

in a position of uncontrolled rest within the southbound lane.  The vehicle had

damage to the front passenger side bumper, hood and quarter panel.  The airbags

we not deployed.  Troopers along with Clarksburg MA Police and MASP were unable

to locate another vehicle involved. The investigation revealed Goodreau was

driving south bound on Main Rd when she took an evasive action bringing her

vehicle into the south bound guardrail.  There was no evidence that another vehicle collided with Goodreau's vehicle, however there still may have been another vehicle involved.  Goodreau was transported to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield MA for bumps, bruises and minor head injury. The Vermont State Police are continuing to investigate the crash.  Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Trooper Ronan at 802-442-5421.
