SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 03/25/17 at approximately 0032 hours, Troopers from the VT State Police Royalton Barracks responded to Pleasant St. in Bethel for a single vehicle crash.  Upon their arrival, the operator was no longer with the vehicle. Through their investigation, the operator was located and identified as Joshua Wheelcok.  Investigation revealed that Vehicle 1 was traveling northbound on Pleasant St . As Vehicle 1 approached Strafford Meadows Lane,  Operator 1, failed to navigate a turn in the roadway and traveled off the road. The front of Vehicle 1 then crashed into a rock wall and sustained some minor damage.

 

Further investigation revealed that Operator 1, Wheelock was under the influence of intoxicants. Wheelock provided a preliminary breath sample of .148 % BAC and was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Wheelock was then transported to the VT State Police Royalton Barracks for processing and was released on a citation to appear at Windsor County Superior Court for the charge of Driving Under the Influence.
