SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 03/10/2017, at approximately 4:48 PM, a member of the Vermont State Police responded to a three motor vehicle crash on Grafton Road in the Town of Townshend. Upon arrival, the Trooper learned Jill E. Severance, 33, was the operator of vehicle #1 and was traveling south on Grafton Road when she crossed the centerline into the northbound lane. The operator of vehicle #2, Wayne L. Rounds, 65, was traveling northbound when he observed vehicle #1 crossed over to his lane, causing him to veer into the southbound lane in an attempt to avoid collision. Despite Rounds effort, vehicle #1 made contact with vehicle #2, causing this vehicle to spin 90 degrees and as a result vehicle #2 made contact with vehicle #3 which was parked in a driveway. Vehicle #1 continue traveling south onto the northbound shoulder causing it to make contact with a wooden fence and a concrete/cement step of a residence.

As a result of the crash, Severance sustained minor injury and she was transported to Grace Cottage Hospital.

Townshend Fire Department and Rescue Inc. assisted at the scene. Vehicle #1 and Vehicle #2 were towed by Scott Brooks Towing.
