SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 03-06-17 at approximately 2:50 pm, the Vermont State Police responded to a

single vehicle crash on Rt. 5 in the town of Guilford.  Upon arrival, it was

determined that a tractor trailer unit struck a low hanging wire which caused a

domino effect pulling utility poles and wires down.  Route 5 south of Slate Rock

Road in Guilford has been shut down due to this incident.  Green Mountain Power

has been contacted and the completion of the cleanup should last for several

hours.  Route 5 south of Slate Rock Road and Route 5 entering into Vermont from

Massachusetts has been closed due to this incident.
