SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On March 12, 2017, at approximately 1648 hours, State Police were monitoring
southbound traffic on Interstate 89 near Exit 14 in the City of South
Burlington. Troopers attempted to stop a blue Chrysler Voyager off of Exit 14
and the vehicle failed to yield. The vehicle came to a stop near the University
Mall and the male operator fled on foot.
With the assistance of the South Burlington Police Department the male was later
located in the area of the Blue Mall off of Dorset Street. The male operator was
identified as Robert Bushey and was subsequently taken into custody for driving with
a criminally suspended driver’s license, violating his conditions of release, and
attempting to elude.
Bushey was transported to the Williston State Police Barracks where he was
processed. Bushey was then lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Center
for the above listed charges.
