SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On February 16, 2017, at 1138 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a two vehicle collision in Lyndon on East Burke Rd near Mt. Hunger rd. Upon arrival vehicle one was on its roof. Investigation revealed Driver 1, heading north on East Burke Rd moved to over to the right hand side of the road too far and lost control of his vehicle in the snow. Vehicle one went up an embankment and rolled over. Vehicle 2 could not stop in time resulting in the collision. Driver 1 was travelling too fast for conditions, a violation of title 23 VSA 1081(a) and was issued a warning. Driver 2 was following too closely a violation of title 23 VSA 1039. There were no injuries, bother drivers were wearing their seatbelts and no airbags were deployed. Vehicle 1 was totaled, Vehicle 2 sustained minor damage to the front driver’s side.
